two captains. Personal performances in uncompleted shall count in the players averages. (b) Should a match be interrupted by the inclement weather the pitch shall be covered wicket to wicket. 6.7 Match results The home team shall advise the league's representative of all league and cup match results, by phone or fax or e-mail and by posting an official scoresheet. All results shall be advised by the following times: (a) Phoned or faxed or e-mailed results of Saturday and Sunday matches to the league's representative by no later than 9.00 pm on Sunday evening. (b) Phoned or faxed or e-mailed results of Monday matches to the league's representative by no later than 9.00 pm on Monday evening. (c) Posting or faxing an official scoresheet within 24 hours of the match to the league's representative. All scoresheets shall be properly completed, detailing date, competition, time, competing teams, all players taking part, batting details, bowling details, points allocation and the opponents outstanding fielder. All scoresheets shall be signed by each teams captain and any umpires officiating. Fines, as per rule 8 shall be levied for each non-compliance. 6.8 Intervals The tea Interval shall be 20 minutes. The interval between innings shall be 1O minutes, but under no circumstances shall the 30 minutes be taken at one time. 6.9 General points (a) All matches to be played on grass pitches. (b) All matches shall use a standard cricket ball. The manufacturer and type shall be approved and agreed by the league at the A.G.M. All cricket balls to be purchased through the league and branded as Lincolnshire County Cricket League ball. Each team shall provide the Umpire with not more than 2 match balls prior to the commencement of each innings, it is not complusory to provide or use a new ball. The Umpire may disallow or refuse a ball to be used, if decided that a ball is dangerous or gives an unfair advantage to either side. (c) All matches will adhere to the E.C.B. directive of limiting overs for young bowlers under the ages of 19. (d) All matches will adhere to the E.C.8 . directive of fielding regulations for young players (e) All matches will adhere to the E.C.8. directive of young players under the age of 18 to bat and keep wicket with protective headgear. This may only be waived if the young player has been given written permission from the player's parent of guardian. The written permission shall be given to the Umpire before the start of the match. (f) Both teams shall be ready to start on the match at the prescribed time, as.detailed in rule 6.2. The Umpire shall note that a match started late and the reason for the late start on the scoresheet. The offending team shall be fined as rule 8. 7. SCORING POINTS 7.1 General Points can be scored in two ways: (a) From the result of the match. (b) From collecting batting and bowling bonus points after reaching thresholds as written in rule 7.4 7.2 Definitions A tied match shall be defined as a match where the two teams finish with equal runs scored. An interrupted match shall be defined as one where because of interruptions by the weather, both teams have not received their allotted overs and no definite result has emerged. An outright win shall be defined as either: (a) The team batting first scores the most runs and dismisses the team batting second. (b) The team batting second scores most runs and dismisses the team batting first, or the team batting first declares. A win shall be defined as the team scoring the most runs irrespective of wickets lost. A cancelled game shall be defined as when a game has not started. 102
