Any club using a player in a league or cup match whose registration has not been completed on the Play Cricket system within 24 hours of the conclusion of any game shall be deemed to have fielded an ineligible player under Rule 4.4. By completing the Lincolnshire League/Play Cricket registration process, a player and his/her club declare that he/she has read the ECB Code of Conduct and agrees to be bound by, and operate within, its requirements. An administration fee of £25 must accompany any complaint; this will be returned if the complaint is upheld. If after May 30th in any season, a player has not played in the league or cup for his registered league club and the player requests to move to another club this will be permitted without a transfer form or fee being required providing :- • The club wishing to sign the player contacts the club with which the player is currently registered and obtains written or verbal agreement. • The player completes the necessary online registration to play in the league/cup. • The agreement of the player's former club to the move is notified to the Results Secretary prior to his/her debut for the club he/she is joining. • The player is not subject to a suspension imposed by the league or other leagues. 4.2 Transfer A transfer is required for a player to register to a new club, if the player is currently registered for a different club in any league in the UK. The transfer shall be conducted by completion of the league transfer form agreed by both clubs. Players may not transfer during the months of August and September. A fee shall be applied for a transfer within the playing season (see rule 8.1 ), no fee will be applied out of the playing season. 4.3 Other leagues No player shall be eligible to play in the league, if they have registered or played for another club in the following leagues. a) Any ECB Premier league b) South Lines and Border league c) Yorkshire league d) Nottinghamshire Premier league e) Bassetlaw League Any player who has played in these leagues for another club and then wishing to transfer to a club in the league must go through the procedure outlined in rule 4.2. 4.4 Ineligible players A player shall be deemed ineligible if that player(s) has infringed any part of rule 4.1 and/ or rule 4.2 and/ or rule 4.3 and/ or rule 4.5 and/ or rule 4.7. The team fielding the ineligible player(s) may be deducted points accrued for the games that the player(s) was deemed to be ineligible. The opponents of the team of the games may be awarded match points equivalent to that of a win. A fine as per rule 8.1 shall be imposed for each infringement. 4.5 Overseas players Players not born in the UK and therefore not eligible to play cricket for England shall be allowed to play in the league providing the player has resided in the UK for a minimum continuous period of two years prior to the season. Players not born in the UK and therefore not eligible to play cricket for England and have not resided in the UK for a continuous period of 2 years prior to the season shall be classed as an overseas player. Only one overseas player per team per season shall be allowed. A Club may not replace the overseas player with another overseas player under any circumstances. 4.6 Playing for different teams from the same club In the event of a club running 2 or more teams they will be expected to act within the 'spirit of the game' with regard to team selection. In the event of a written complaint being received within 7 days of the fixture being played, where one club appears to deliberately strengthen their side to the detriment of the 108
