RULES FOR CUP COMPETITIONS 1. The laws of cricket shall apply, except where stated otherwise. 2. The teams in the George Marshall Trophy for any season shall be teams competing in the Premier Division for the current season plus any teams relegated from the Premier Division from the previous season plus the top teams from Division 1 from the previous season so as to make the teams competing total 16. All the remaining clubs in the League will be entered into the Bob Welton Cup with the limit of one team per club. 3. Amendment to games played in George Marshall ( due to proposed earlier dates games to be played). 1 st Round 1 game, Quarter final 3 games, Semi final and final 6 games. Bob Welton to remain at 1 st Round 3 games, Quarter final 4 games, Semi final and final 6 games. 4. Matches shall start at 1.30pm on the following dates George Marshall Round 1 - May ( First public holiday) Quarter Final - May ( Second public holiday) Semi Final - July ( Second Sunday ) Final -August ( Sunday to be determined by the League) Bob Welton Round 1 - May ( Last Saturday) Quarter Final - June ( Last Saturday) Semi Final - July ( Third Sunday) Final -August ( Sunday to be determined by the League) The venues for the finals to be determined by the League. 5. All away teams must travel on the day of the game and a result obtained in the following order of preference:- a) A game of 90 overs b) A delayed game starting no later than 3 hours after the orginal start time.
