RULES FOR CUP COMPETITIONS 1. The laws of cricket shall apply, except where stated otherwise. 2. The teams competing in the George Marshall Cup in any season shall be the teams competing in the Premier Division for the current season plus the top 4 teams from Division 1(providing that their 1 st team are not already entered) so as to make the total number of teams competing 16. All the remaining clubs in the League will be entered into the Bob Welton Cup with the limit of 1 team per club. 3. Limit on games played for senior teams :- GEORGE MARSHALL CUP Round One more than 1 game Quarter Final more than 3 games Semi and Final more than 6 games BOB WELTON CUP Round One Round Two Quarter Final Semi and Final more than 1 game more than 3 games more than 4 games more than 6 games 4. Matches will start at 1 :30pm on the following dates :- George Marshall Cup Round 1 May (first public holiday) Quarter Final May (second public holiday) Semi Final July (second Sunday) Final Bob Welton Cup Round 1 Round 2 Quarter Final Semi Final Final August (Third Sunday) ( n.b. Final starts at 1 :00pm ) First Saturday in May Last Saturday in May First Sunday in July Last Sunday in July August (Second Sunday) ( n.b. Final starts at 1 :00pm) 5. All away teams MUST travel on the day of the game and a result obtained in the following order of preference:- a) A game of 90 overs b) A delayed game starting no later than 3 hours after the original time of start.
