A collection may be taken at any time after one or more of the following performances has been achieved by any player in any one innings:- Batting - Scoring 50 runs Bowling - Hat trick (3 or more wickets with consecutive deliveries) 5 or more wickets (amateur only) 6 or more wickets (professional) Wicket Keeping - 5 or more victims Fielding - 5 or more catches 9.2. The decision whether or not to take a collection shall be in the absolute and unfettered discretion of the Committee of the Club to which the player belongs and for whose personal benefit the collection is to be taken. Such collections shall be taken by the players or responsible authorised persons connected with the Club in question and any player accepting the proceeds of any collection not so taken shall be dealt with as the League Committee may determine. 9.3. A collection for the benefit of any player on any occasion or for any other object must receive the sanction of the League Committee before being made. 9.4. Save as aforesaid no amateur shall receive any payment and/or benefit of any kind for playing for a Club or for expenses incurred in playing for that Club whether that payment or benefit is made or given directly or indirectly and by whomsoever it is made or given. Any amateur receiving any such payment and/or benefit will be ineligible to play in the League and he and the Club for which he plays will be dealt with accordingly under the Rules. SECTIONG UMPIRESANDSCORERS ETC 1. (18) APPOINTMENTOFUMPIRES 1.1. No Playing Member or any person qualifying under Rule D1 shall be allowed toUmpire. 1.2. A Sub - Committee, called the Umpires' Sub Committee consisting of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Tr e a s u r e r andAssistant Secretary shall make the appointments for all matches and deal with all complaints as specified in Rule F3. NOTE: In the event of an Umpire being unable to fulfil an engagement a substitute will be arranged by the League Executive. In an emergency a Committee member or suitably qualified Clubmember must deputise. 2. (19) UMPIRES FEESANDCONDITIONS 2.1. Umpires' Fees, conditions and payments shall be fixed by the Lancashire League Committee after discussion with the representatives of the Umpires' Association.
