Phil Hayes and pro Parchment then put a partnership together putting on 113 for the 3rd wicket but once they were separated the innings stuttered and when Heyes fell at 180 the game was up. Haslingden were eventually 204 all out in 42.2 overs, an 85 run victory for the hosts. The late innings onslaught by Chairman Brown earned him a deserved TelegraphMan of thematch award.
