19 The winner of the U23 batting award for 2013 with 761 runs a top score of 86 not out, average of 36.23 and retaining the title from 2012 was JonnyWhitehead of Lowerhouse. The U23 bowling award this year with was the player who finished 3rd in the senior awards with 54wickets at an average of 22.07 –Hassan Fazal of Enfield. Further awards are made to the U23 player who in the opinion of the League Executive has had the best performances TheApril/May awardwas made to SimonHanson ofAccrington The June/July awardwas made toTomParton of Ramsbottom. InAugust/September the awardwent to LloydAspin of Church. This season the Overall Season award winner received a newTrophy donated in memory of Milton Lord by his family. Miltons wife, Norma, presented the award at theAnnual Dinner toTomParton of Ramsbottom. At this point I would like to thank the Telegraph and Matt Donlon for their reporting on the League and also the other local press. I must also thank the man who provides probably the best website in League Cricket, our League Honorary statisticianMr Nigel Stockley. The Bill HarrisonTrophy denotes the best performance by an Under 23 player in a match and the award went to a player who made a half century (64) in his sides total of 237 and then took 5 victims 4 stumped and 1 caught in a 15 run victory at Todmorden on 1st September. The recipient was Russell Bradley of Nelson.
