95 RAWTENSTALL - Brett Jonathan Pelser - (NorthWest andLions, SouthAfrica) Rawtenstall look forward to the return of this 28 year-old all rounder, whose experience in all aspects of League cricket helped to revitalise the whole club last season. His 834 runs at 49.05, with four centuries, and 41 wickets at 21.07, helped to turn things round, leading to a greater number of wins and a pleasing rise up the table from the base position in 2012. Brett continues to perform with considerable success in his home country, and now has played over 75 first class matches, scoring more than 4200 runs (highest score 163*) and taking over 80 wickets. All at Bacup Road eagerly anticipate Brett continuing to revive the club's fortunes and to further the promise of its players, young and old. RISHTON -Matt Hulett - (SouthAfrica) Matt is 22 years old, a Right-Hand Batsman and Right-Arm Leg-Spin bowler. he is described as a prestigious talent, an outstanding batting all rounder who has a 1st Class average of 37.56 with a highest score of 124. In addition to this he has another century and 10 more scores over 50 to his name from 24 1st Class matches. He also has very good One Day form with two centuries and two more scores of over 50 in that form of the game. although his bowling is not often used at 1st Class level at this time he does bowl very decent Leg-Spin and will be an asset at League level. Matt is very highly rated by the management at the' Dolphins' and it is expected that he will play Franchise cricket more regularly in the near future. He will be Rishton's 11th SouthAfrican Professional. TODMORDEN -Michael Neser - (Australian) Michael is a 23 year old right arm fast medium bowler and right hand bat from Queensland. He has established himself in the Bulls side over the last 2 seasons, where he bats at number 8 and bowls first or second change, playing 9 first class games taking 21 wickets in the process. He is a valuable member of their Ryobi Cup side averaging 27.28with the bat and taking 14wickets. Michael joins us off the back of a successful Big Bash campaign with the Adelaide Strikers where he impressed with both bat and ball and was voted the Strikers MVPandwon the players player award. This is his first full season as a league professional and he is very keen to make a big impact and having been clocked at 90mph is expected to do so. He is a great signing for Todmorden andwe are looking forward to having himon board.
