152 NELSON Nelson won their first 9 matches in season 1919 with Morfee, (pro) and A. Pollard bowling unchanged until the seventhmatch. Nelson dismissed Church in a League match on May 3rd 1924 for 9 runs. In season 1928, Nelson 1st and 2nd teams both lost their first match, (versus Bacup) and then never lost another match and the Club established a record by winning the Senior and Junior League Championships and the Worsley Cup in the same season. Nelson is the only Club to have won the Championship in four successive seasons, 1934-5-6-7. Learie Constantine scored 192 not out in 118 minutes against East Lancs on 2ndAugust 1937. In a Worsley Cup game June 6th, 7th and 8th 1939, Nelson scored 441 runs and Lowerhouse repliedwith 274 runs. On 2nd July 1995 in the game Nelson v Enfield after 28 overs Nelson were 79 for 9. T. Kegg 100 and M. Warburton 5* put on 98 runs for the final wicket. This was a club record for a last wicket partnership. This was Trevor Kegg’s highest score and the first No. 9 batsman to score a century for Nelson C.C. Joe Scuderi made an amateur record score in theWorsley Cup for Nelson on 9th May 2004 with 155 at Rishton. He made 1000 eight times (7 Nelson 1 Colne) and holds both the amateur and professional batting records for runs in a season. Michael Bradley set a new Lancashire League record for wicket keeping dismissals inAugust 2007with 712. Sean Lemonmade 143 for Nelson against Colne on 25thMay 2008. Tyler McGladdery surpassed Sean Lemons amateur highest score with 151 against Todmorden on 12th July 2014. RAMSBOTTOM WFenwick of Ramsbottomwas the first player to take over 100 wickets in a season in 1900with 137. Ramsbottomdismissed East Lancashire in a LeagueMatch onApril 1900 for 8 runs. Ramsbottom by winning the Championship in 1921 created a record, being the only Club, at that time, to have occupied every position in the LeagueTable. On 31st July 1999 Colne 3rds made 298-6 and Ramsbottommade 299-5 597 runs in a day a 3rd eleven record. On 26th June 1999 Todmorden made 301-3 with Ramsbottom making 303- 7, a League aggregate record highest score. Ramsbottom seconds recorded its highest ever score (in all forms of Lancs League Cricket) on Sunday, 5th September 2005with 361-4. Michael Clarke (pro) hit the highest individual league score with 200 not out for Ramsbottomat Enfield on 25thMay 2002with 25 fours and seven sixes.
