17 Moorhouses Brewery continued their sponsorship of the 20/20 competition and the weather was an improvement on that of 2013. After the group stages, Nelson, Church and Haslingden qualified as group winners andwere joined by Lowerhouse in the semi finals. Lowerhouse met Nelson at Seedhill and overcame their hosts by 4 wickets after dismissing them for 91. Scores were a tad higher at Bentgate where Haslingden made 150 for 4 with Alex Coleman unbeaten on 85. But he was upstaged by Harvey Aspin who blasted an unbeaten 97 with 9 fours and 5 sixes as Church booked their place in the final with 14 balls left. Lowerhouse hosted the final and Church batted first and with 5 overs to go were 81 for 4 until Phil Gilrane unleashed an unbeaten innings of 46 with 5 fours and a six to post a total of 132 for 8.Lowerhouse needed 45 from the last 5 overs with 6 wickets left until Kamran Basharat joined the attack and helped to restrict the home side to just 26 runs from the last 5 overs. It had been 40 years since Church had won a senior trophy and their success was witnessed by a fantastic crowd of over 2000.
