Several players achieved career milestones this year: David Pearson ended his career which spanned from 1982 to 2014 with a career total 16182 runs (13 centuries and 50 half centuries) as the second highest ever run scorer in Lancashire League matches. David was a one club man who progressed to play for both Cumberland and Lancashire 2nd eleven scoring runs wherever he went. In my experience David played the game “the right way” and if he nicked one he walked, something that isn't always seen nowadays. Well playedDavid and thanks for your contribution to Lancashire League Cricket. Graham Knowles of Haslingden achieved 11000 runs and now has a half century on every ground in the League. He completed his collection at Bacup on 17th August and also now a club equal record holder with 13 centuries after scoring 123 no at Colne on 29th June.
