57 Fosters Lancashire Cricket League THIRD ELEVEN LEAGUE RULES - Season 2015 1. TITLE - This League shall be called the Third Elevens Cricket League and shall consist of the Third Elevens of clubs in the Lancashire Cricket League. 2. GOVERNMENT - The Third Eleven League shall be governed by the Committee of the said League. 3. THE FIXTURES — For the Third Eleven League shall be arranged in one Division by the Fixtures Secretary, who shall arrange for each Club to play the same number of matches. The Club having scored the most points at the end of the season shall be considered the Third Eleven League Champions for that year and shall be entitled to hold for the following season the Trophy presented by the League and an additional trophy shall be presented to the Runners up. In the event of two or more Clubs at the head of the table having scored the same number of points, the Club having won the most matches shall be the Champions. If equal matches have been won then the Club having the most bonus points shall be declared Champions. If equal matches have been won then the Club having themost bonus points shall be declared Champions. Once requested by the Secretary, cups must be returned within 7 days duly engraved and thoroughly cleaned. Any Club failing to comply with this rule shall be fined (Category 2 (Rule 5(5)(v)). In the event of Cups being returned in a damaged condition the Club responsible shall bear the full cost of repairs. The Runners-up shall be the club with the second highest points total at the end of the Season. If two or more clubs next in the League table to the Champions have scored the same number of points, the Club having won most matches shall be declared the Runners-up. If equal matches have been won, then the Club having the most number of bonus points shall be declared Runners-up. If two or more of such Clubs have identical records, the trophy shall be held as may be directed by the League Committee. 4. (a) All League games shall commence at 1.00 p.m. (b) In a game uninterrupted by weather each side shall be entitled to receive 46 six ball overs i.e., No Time Limit for the first innings. The interval between innings to be 25 minutes. The interval between innings shall be reduced to 10 minutes in any match affected by weather providing that the two captains agree to take tea during a stoppage in play in the first innings of the match and so inform the umpires before taking tea. In those circumstances a minimum period of 10 minutes will be taken for tea and the teams will not re-take the field until the expiration of that minimum period even if the umpires in the meantime deem conditions fit for play to resume.
