146 Joe McCluskie became the Club’s youngest ever captain in 2013 at the age of 21yrs 4mths 14days. Sam Sanderson took 8 for 64 on debut v Colne on 1st Sept 2013. BURNLEY Burnley won the Championship with the lowest number of points, 34 in 1907. In 1937 at Turf Moor, East Lancs, declared at 199 for 3 wickets and Burnley in reply scored 202 for 2 wickets in 74 minutes. Burnley in 1950 created a Club record by winning the Senior Championship and the Worsley Cup in that season, this being their first “Double” success. Burnley in 1955 remained undefeated throughout the season and are the only club to perform this feat without winning the Championship. They were Runners-Up and were the first winners of the Holland Cup which had been introduced that season. Burnley won the Senior Championship in 1964 with the highest number of points, 70, since the introduction of 4 points for a win in season 1956. Collie Smith (pro) scored 306 not out against Lowerhouse in the 1959 Worsley Cup competition breaking Everton Weekes previous record of 225 not out against Rawtenstall in 1958. In May 1977, the game Burnley v Bacup (Senior League) realised the highest aggregate score in limited overs cricket with Burnley 271-4 and Bacup 256-2. Peter Brown retired in 1998 having made a half century against every other club. 48 in total (41 league 7 in cup). Jonathan Clare at the age of 17 years 10 months, 10 days became the youngest ever player to score a century in a Lancashire League match at Bentgate on 24th April 2004. In 2006, Jonathan made the highest ever score by a Burnley amateur in limited overs 11th June 2006 against East Lancs with 161. In 2009 Bharat Tripathi, with 76 wickets, established a new amateur bowling record by surpassing Trevor Jones 30 year old record of 72 from 1979. In achieving the record he took the same number of wickets as the 2 leading professional, Anwar Ali (Colne) & Gary Brent (Enfield). On 19thAugust 2012 during the home game v Bacup, play was suspended to allow the Air Ambulance to land for emergency purposes. In 2015 Burnley were the first team to win the Worsley Cup on 3 consecutive occasions on the way to winning all four Senior Trophies, again another unprecedented achievement. Their Second Team also won the Junior League during the same season with the Third team runners up in their division. CHURCH In 1874 Church Cricket Club established a football team to play at their ground and in 1885, the year Blackburn Rovers went on to win the competition,
