154 Frank Martindale was the leading wicket keeper for 4 successive seasons 1979 to 1982. This meant a sequence of him being the leading wicket keeper for 7 out of 8 seasons following his previous run at Enfield from 1975 to 1977. On Saturday, 3rd August 1996, Rishton, with Allan Donald, dismissed Accrington for 18, the lowest score since the League adopted limited overs. Rishton’s team score for 304 for 3 against Church on 28th May 2005 at Rishton was the clubs highest score in limited overs Worsley Cup matches. The opening stand of 174 between Peter Sleep (82) and Kumar Dharmasena (130*) is also a Worsley Cup record for Rishton. On 15th May 2005 Peter Sleep hit 151 not out, the highest score by a Rishton amateur. Andrea Agathagelou took a hat-trick on the 8th May 2010 against Colne - all LBW’s. Afaq Ali Sartaj became the youngest player to take 50 Lancashire League wickets in a season at 17 years 2 months 9 days on 10th September 2011. In 2012 Nathan Sharrock became the youngest ever player for Rishton only to be surpassed by Bradley Boddie later in the season. On 9th September Daniel Salpietro (pro) took 10 for 34 vs Rawtenstall. Kelly Mall took 8 for 25 against Bacup on 22nd June 2013 – his first ever Lancashire League wickets. Bradley Boddie made a century for Rishton 2nd XI at the age of 15 years and 215 days against Lowerhouse on 1st August 2014. Nathan Sharrock (160 no) and Lee Sawyer (72 no) put together an unbroken 4th wicket partnership of 244 for Rishton 3rd team against Rawtenstall on 13th September 2014. TODMORDEN Todmorden won the Championship in 1927 with all ten amateurs playing under a birth qualification and their professional was also Lancashire born. In 1938 Todmorden became the first Club to win the Worsley Cup two seasons in succession. Todmorden by winning the League Championship and the Worsley Cup in 1954 completed the “Double” for the second time. M.Hartley, against Bacup on 24th July 1976 took 9 wickets for 13 runs, including a hat trick and had conceded 10 runs in his first over. Frans Cronje (pro) made a club record individual score of 159 not out for Todmorden against Rishton on 9th August 1997. On 26th June 1999 Todmorden made 301-3 with Ramsbottommaking 303-7, a League aggregate record highest score, at the time. Brendan Nash (176*) and Richard Baigent (94) had a 2nd wicket partnership of 252 against Ramsbottom. Richard Baigent made a club amateur record score of 147 not out for Todmorden against Accrington on 7th May 2000.
