60 10. SPECIAL THIRD ELEVEN NOTE - In the event of any Club being compelled to play an Unregistered Amateur Member, who has the other necessary qualifications, the Club so playing him must register him within seven days of the match taking place, and must explain the circumstances at the next meeting of the Committee. 11. POINTS The points to govern the competition shall count as follows:- In the second innings bonus points shall be awarded to the losing team as follows:- Bowling - Wickets taken 5 Wickets 1 Point 6 Wickets 2 Point 7 Wickets 3 Point 8 Wickets 4 Point 9 Wickets 5 Point Batting - Points will be awarded for getting within so many runs of the first innings total as follows:- 50 1 Point 40 2 Point 30 3 Point 20 4 Point 10 5 Point At the close of the first innings the Umpires will check and agree with the scorers the total scored by the batting first and the target scores by the team batting second. In rain affected games bonus points will be awarded from the amended total and not the original total. In a completed game in addition to any bonus points earned by the losing side in the second innings the following points shall be awarded:- Win 10 Points or Tie 7 Points (scores tied irrespective of number of wickets taken/lost) and to any side bowling out the opposition 2 points. In any uncompleted game 3 points only shall be awarded to each team. (a) In the event of a run rate calculation where the first innings score contains a fraction, if the side batting second fails to reach the runs required total they will be deemed to have lost. 12. In Third Eleven matches the wicket that is being used during the game is to be covered than any other part of the square.
