61 COMPETITION RULES 1. All Clubs in the League shall participate in this Knock Out Competition. The draw for each round shall be made by the League Executive Committee. The last two clubs to be drawn in the first round shall have a bye and, together with the winners of the first round, shall be drawn for second round matches. 2. The management of the Competition shall be in the hands of the League Executive Committee, who will make the draw for each round and who are given full powers, including the appointment of a referee or referees to attend each match, as specified in Clause 2 of League Rule F2 and whose decision on any disputed point must be accepted as final by the Clubs concerned. 3. No player, amateur or professional shall play in the competition for more than one club in any one season. The qualifications of players and the general conditions shall be those specified in the League Rules, with the exception mentioned herein or such as may be directed by the Committee. 4. Matches will normally be commenced on Saturdays or Sundays at 1.00 p.m. on dates to be decided by the League Executive Committee. Final ties will commence at 12.30pm. Unfinished matches will be resumed as determined by that Committee and if resumed in the evening shall commence at 6.30 p.m. or such earlier time - but not before 6.00 p.m. - as may be set by the League Executive who shall take all circumstances into account in making the decision. Intervals between innings shall not exceed 25 minutes. Each innings shall consist of a maximum of 50 six ball overs and in the event of a team not having lost all 10 wickets at the conclusion of 50 overs the innings shall be deemed to be closed. In the case of matches not finished on the first day, the wicket must be cut before resumption and then rolled under the instructions of the Captain of the batting side for not more than 7 minutes and rolling between the innings shall be subject to the same 7 minutes maximum. Where a match is not completed on the first day, upon each resumption the decision as to the fitness of the ground shall be left to the Umpires. The Captain of the batting side may not declare his innings closed at any time during the course of the match. For the sake of clarification the League Executive Committee shall arrange that both semi-final ties take place on the same date. 5. No bowler may bowl more than 10 overs in any one innings. 6 (a) Two Semi-circles shall be drawn on the field of play, centred on each middle stump (each with a radius of 25 yards; and joined by a parallel line on each side of the pitch. The fielding circle shall be marked by painted white dots at five yard intervals, each dot to be covered by a white plastic or rubber (but not metal) disc measuring 7 inches in diameter.
