92 LOWERHOUSE - Dieter Klein (South Africa) Lowerhouse have signed Dieter Klein as professional for the 2016 Fosters Lancashire League season. Dieter who represents the North West state side and franchise team Highveld Lions in South Africa is a 27 year old left arm seamer who bowls at good pace and an aggressive right handed batsmen. In first class cricket Dieter has taken 154 wickets at 25.99 with a best of 8 for 72. With the bat he has 897 runs at 19.08 with a best of 66. No stranger to UK club cricket, last season Dieter represented Netherfield in the Northern Premier League where he took 60 wickets at an average of 22 each and also scored 563 league runs and a further 274 in the cups to end the season with excellent stats in a successful cup season for the Cumbria based club. NELSON - Ryan Bailey (South Africa) Nelson has signed South African Ryan Bailey as professional for the 2016 season. Ryan is a top order batsmen who has represented The Eagles, Knights and Warriors franchises in his native country and also has South Africa U19s and ‘A’ team honours to his name. Bailey has 5724 first class runs at an average of 31.62 and has picked up 30 wickets with his medium pace/off spin bowling in 113 games. The 33 year old has had previous spells in league cricket with East Lancashire, Carnforth in the Northern League and Tunbridge Wells in the Kent Cricket League. RAMSBOTTOM - Daryn Smit (South Africa) Ramsbottom CC have signed record breaking all-rounder Daryn Smit for a third season. Smit has been nothing short of outstanding in his previous two seasons, resulting in 2038 league runs at an average of 84.91 and 162 wickets at 7.66. In 2015, Smit broke Brad Hodges record for most runs in a season by a professional at Acre Bottom with 1248 runs at an average of 113. Smit will also captain Ramsbottom CC in 2016. RAWTENSTALL - Saliya Saman (Sri Lanka) Pithigala Arachchi Saliya Saman Jeewantha, currently plays for Chilaw Marians Cricket has 2115 First-class runs at 27.5 with one century and 166 wickets at 22.6 with his right-arm fast-medium bowling since his debut in 2004. The 29 year-old will be the clubs second Sri Lankan professional after Nilantha Cooray
