In 2016 Graeme Sneddon 152 vs Rishton and Jacob Clarke 8 for 35 for Todmorden won the best batting and bowling awards. BACUP Bacup, from August 4th 1922 to August 11th 1923 did not lose a match and in 1923 became the first Club to win the League Championship and the Worsley Cup in the same season. The Club repeated this performance in 1930. Bacup can claim the distinction of playing a season without suffering a defeat, each in a Championship year, in 1924. On 27th August 1949 Everton Weekes (pro) scored 195 not out against Enfield to exceed the previous record set by Learie Constantine in 1937. Bacup dismissed Enfield in a League match at Enfield on April 23rd 1927 for 9 runs. Bacup established a Club record by winning the Senior & Junior League Championships in the same season in 1960. In May 1977, the game Burnley v Bacup (Senior League) realised the highest aggregate score in limited overs cricket with Burnley 271-4 and Bacup 256-2. Roger Harper made a century against every club either in league or cup, on 28th July 1996 he made 162 not out against Rishton in 103 balls (21 fours & seven sixes). John Chapman set a Club wicket keeping record in 2001 with 49 victims (38 ct 11 st) in a season. In 2004 David Ormerod took 73 wickets and became the League’s leading amateur wicket taker for the fourth consecutive season. In 2010 Paul Gallagher scored 839 runs setting a new club limited overs amateur batting record. Jo Sipocz took 9 for 22 v Lowerhouse on 24th April 2011, the best figures by an amateur at the Club since Fred Hartley (10 for 16) against Ramsbottom in 1924.
