Lancashire League Handbook 2018

101 Having had an inevitable early career trough, Sen’s form picked up towards the end of the 2015-16 summer and led him to the decision to continue playing throughout the year by venturing to the UK for the first time in 2016. Following a dreadful start to the summer with the bat, Sen really found his feet 2nd half of the summer and helped Brockhampton CC on their charge to the Birmingham Div 1 title. RAWTENSTALL - Keegan Petersen (South Africa) Rawtenstall have signed South African Keegan Petersen as professional. The 24 year-old right handed batsman bowls leg spin and also keeps wicket. In 65 First-class matches Petersen has scored 3744 runs at 37.4 with ten centuries, including an unbeaten 225. He currently plays for Knights and Northern Cape alongside new Crompton professional Aubrey Swanepoel and former Enfield professional Werner Coetsee. Petersen stood in for Nelson in 2015 for one match whilst he was professional at Read where he hit 650 runs and took 17 wickets in 14 matches for the Ribblesdale League side. RISHTON - Mansoor Amjad (Pakistan) 30 year old Pakistani All-rounder Mansoor Amjad makes a return to the Lancashire League as Rishton Cricket Club’s professional for 2018. Mansoor was professional at Colne in 2011 when he had a prolific season in which he scored over 1000 runs. Further paid stints followed at Settle in the Ribblesdale League and for CSNI in the Northern Irish League all of which yielded consistent performances for the ex Pakistani international. We at Rishton CC are more than hopeful that he can reproduce these all round figures at Blackburn Road and help our developing team to achieve its potential. ROCHDALE - Ed Moore (South Africa) Ed is a left hand opening batsman and off spin bowler. 25 years old, he plays for Eastern Province in S.A. Ed averages 36 in first class and over 40 in one day cricket. This is his first season as a league professional. TODMORDEN - Chris Schofield Our 2018 professional is Chris Schofield. Chris is a former England International who has represented his country in test matches and T20I’s along with a successful first class career with his home county Lancashire, before moving to Surrey after a few years playing minor counties. Chris has scored over 6,000 runs for Lancashire & Surrey combined and taken over 400 wickets across all formats with his leg spin. Chris has a reputation for being unorthodox with the bat, but very accurate with the ball. Chris is our first English professional since Paul Allott and he will be as busy off the field as he will on as we have secured him as a coach with the juniors to go alongside his playing role.
