In Phase One Darwen topped the table with twelve wins and just one defeat and 144 points. Clitheroe were just 5 points behind on 139 and Todmorden in third on 138. They were joined in the Championship division by Burnley, Nelson, Ramsbottom, East Lancs, Lowerhouse and Haslingden. By the end of Phase two the top three teams were still the top three but Clitheroe managed to overtake Darwen by winning seven of their eight matches with their last game of the season being ruled out due to the weather. Clitheroe ended the season with a record of Played 24 won 18 Lost 3 and 2 No results for a total of 220 points, 19 ahead of Darwen who finished with 16 wins and only 2 losses with 6 no results for a total of 201 points. In the 1st Division, Enfield finished 10th in phase one with 90 points and had a strong phase 2 winning 4 games with only one defeat and 2 rained off matches to finish with a total of 144 points. Enfield’s record for the season was played 23 Won 10 Lost 8 with 5 no result and a total 144 points. Runners up in Division One were Church. Church had finished just below Enfield in Phase one and positions remained unchanged at the end of phase 2. Church’s playing record for 2017 was Played 23 Won 9 Lost 8 and 6 no results. The Second Eleven competition was conducted under the same format. At the end of phase One Clitheroe led the table from Burnley and Darwen but in phase 2 Darwen leapfrogged both Clitheroe and Burnley to run out as Junior League Champions. Darwen 2nd team record for 2017 was Played 23 Won 17 Lost 1 and 5 no results and 198 points Runners up in the Junior Championship were Burnley who finished with 190 points. Burnley’s record was Played 23, won 14 Lost 3 Tied 1 and 5 no results. In Junior Division One Church took the title by winning 6 of their 7 games in phase two and one no result. Church 2nd team Played 23 won 11 lost 10 and 2 no results to finish with 142 points. Junior Division One runners up were Rishton.
