Lancashire League Handbook 2018

49 3.11. The Umpires shall be responsible for measuring and the Scorers for recording any time lost before or during the game caused by weather and/or ground conditions, drinks breaks, injury to or ill health of any player, umpire or scorer or any other cause for the purpose of calculating the number of overs to be deducted from the game or the average number of overs bowled per hour by each team and for that purpose the Umpires and scorers shall synchronise their watches prior to the commencement of the game. After each stoppage the Umpires will instruct the scorers in respect of any time lost and any overs to be deducted from the game and the scorers will record that information in the score book and the results sheet and cause it to be displayed on the score board. During both innings of the game the score board will show the number of overs remaining. 3.12. Restriction on placement of Fielders At the instant of delivery a minimum of 4 Fieldsmen (plus bowler and Wicket Keeper) must be within an area bounded by 2 semi-circles centred on each middle stump (each with a radius of 25 yards) and joined by a parallel line on each side of the pitch. In the event of an infringement the square leg Umpire shall call “no ball”. The fielding circle should be marked by painted white dots at 5 yard intervals, each dot to be covered with a white plastic or rubber (but not metal) disc measuring 7 inches in diameter. 3.13. (i) Any Offside or Leg side delivery, which in the opinion of the Umpire does not give the batsman a reasonable opportunity to score, shall be called “wide”. For guidance purposes, any ball, which passes leg side of the striker and leg side of the wicket, shall be called a wide. Two lines shall be marked at each end of the pitch running horizontal to the return crease, 17 inches in from the return crease. (This is to assist umpires when judging wide deliveries on the off side of the wicket). If the ball passes over head height of the striker standing upright at the crease, the umpire should call and signal no ball. 28 overs = 1 hr 45 mins 29 overs = 1 hr 48 mins 45 sec 30 overs = 1 hr 52 mins 30 sec 31 overs = 1 hr 56 mins 15 sec 32 overs = 2 hrs 33 overs = 2 hrs 3 mins 45 sec 34 overs = 2 hrs 7 mins 30 sec 35 overs = 2 hrs 11 mins 15 sec 36 overs = 2 hrs 15 mins 37 overs = 2 hrs 18 mins 45 sec 38 overs = 2 hrs 22 mins 30 sec 39 overs = 2 hrs 26 mins 15 sec 40 overs = 2 hrs 30 mins 41 overs = 2 hrs 33 mins 45 sec 42 overs = 2 hrs 37 mins 30 sec 43 overs = 2 hrs 41 mins 15 sec 44 overs = 2 hrs 45 mins 45 overs = 2 hrs 48 mins 45 sec 46 overs = 2 hrs 52 mins 30 sec 47 overs = 2 hrs 56 mins 15 sec 48 overs = 3 hrs 49 overs = 3 hrs 3 mins 45 sec 50 overs = 3 hrs 7 mins 30 sec
