62 When an interruption occurs mid over and on resumption the bowler has exceeded the new maximum allocation, he will be allowed to finish the uncompleted over. In the event of the bowler being unable to complete an over, the remaining balls will be bowled by another bowler. Such part of an over will count as a full over only in so far as each bowler’s limit is concerned. 6 (a) Two Semi-circles shall be drawn on the field of play, centred on each middle stump (each with a radius of 25 yards; and joined by a parallel line on each side of the pitch. The fielding circle shall be marked by painted white dots at five yard intervals, each dot to be covered by a white plastic or rubber (but not metal) disc measuring 7 inches in diameter. (b) (i) For the first 10 overs only 2 fielders are permitted to be outside the field restriction marking at the instant of delivery. (ii) For a period of 5 consecutive overs commencing at a time to be chosen by the batting team but not later than the 36th over only 3 fielders are permitted outside the field restriction marking at the instant of delivery. (iii) In circumstances when the number of overs of the batting team is reduced, the number of Powerplay Overs shall be reduced in accordance with the table below. For the sake of clarity, it should be noted that the table shall apply to both the 1st and 2nd innings of the match. Each block of Powerplay Overs must commence at the start of an over. If play is interrupted not during the Powerplay overs, then on resumption, it is necessary to determine how any remaining Powerplay overs should be allocated. The total number of Powerplay overs for the innings is derived from the table above.
