97 COLNE - James Price (South Africa) James is top order batsman originally from Port Elizabeth in South Africa. An aggressive right-hander, James is also a nippy change bowler and excellent athlete in the field. A former regular for the Eastern Province First Class team, James had a stellar 2014-15 domestic season & this translated into a sensational season for new Lancs League side Milnrow CC, scoring over 1,400 runs. James followed this up with two strong seasons in the Bradford League with Farsley CC scoring over 1,600 league runs. Following the 2016 season, James decided to try his hand in New Zealand and is currently in the process of qualifying as a domestic player and will be looking to secure a domestic contract there in the near future. CLITHEROE - Fawad Alam (Pakistan) Clitheroe’s professional for 2018 is the Pakistan international all-rounder Fawad Alam. Fawad is a left-hand batsmen who averages over 55 in first-class cricket and over 40 at international level. He also bowls handy left arm spin (with a T20 international best of 3 for 7). Fawad joins for his second season at Clitheroe. In 2017 he helped the Chatburn Road side win the T20 competition having scored five 50s in seven matches, with two unbeaten knocks coming on Finals Day. His 550 runs and 38 wickets also helped the club secure the league title at the first attempt. CROMPTON - Aubrey Swanepoel (South Africa) We are looking forward to welcoming Aubrey Swanepoel to Crompton Cricket Club for the 2018 season. Aubrey comes with a good reputation who previously represented South Africa at U19 level. He is also a proven player in the UK having been a professional over here in previous seasons. Aubrey is a right handed batsmen and bowls right hand off-breaks. He has also just been playing for VKB Knights in the T20 RAM slam in South Africa. DARWEN - Calvin Savage (South Africa) The 25 year old South African all-rounder will be returning for his second season at Darwen. Last season he played a major part in helping Darwen win the Worsley Cup, finish runners up in the league and runners up in theT20 competition, scoring 687 runs from 21 innings at an average of 40.41 in all competitions and taking 32 wickets. He is currently part of the Dolphins Franchise. Calvin graduated from the excellent cricketing school Maritzburg College in the KwaZulu Natal midlands which brought the likes of Kevin Pietersen through their ranks. He was a major player of the South African under 19 side. His fast-medium right arm bowling is his stronger suit but his batting has enormous potential. This will be his fourth season in the UK. His first season was with Furness CC where he had an excellent season helping the club become league winners for the third season running. In his second season he played for Hartley Country
