77 Once that is no longer possible the match must either be abandoned or the overs reduced in accordance with Rule 16. 18. No Declarations. The Captain of the batting side may not declare his innings closed at any time during the course of a match. 19. The Result 19.1 When there is no interruption after play has commenced and when both sides have had the opportunity of batting for the same agreed number of overs, the team scoring the higher number of runs (including any penalty runs imposed under Rule 16.3) shall be the winner. In the event of the scores being tied, the following shall apply: 19.1.2 In a Group Stage match, no account shall be taken of wickets lost, the match is tied and each team shall be awarded one point. 19.1.3 In a quarter-final, semi-final or final, the team losing the lesser number of wickets shall be the winner. 19.1.4 In a quarter-final, semi-final or final, if the result cannot be decided by 19.1.3, the winner shall be the team with the higher score after 6 overs, or if still equal the side with the higher score at the end of 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st completed over shall be adjudged the winner. 19.1.5 If still equal, a one over per side eliminator (19.2.3.) should be used to determine the winner. 19.2.1 If weather delays or causes disruption to the first innings, and/or prevents the team batting second to receive the same amount of overs as the team in the first innings then the Duckworth Lewis system will be used to calculate the runs required and DL par score. The team batting first must receive a minimum of 5 overs and the team batting second must start their innings being able to face a minimum of 5 overs. 19.2.2 In a Group Stage match, if the runs per over are equal, the match is tied and each team shall be awarded one point. 19.2.3 In the event of the scores being tied in a quarter-final, semi-final or final when the DLS method has been used, no account shall be taken of wickets lost. The teams shall compete in a one over per side eliminator to determine the winner. The following procedure will apply should the provision for a one over per side eliminator be adopted in any match: Subject to weather conditions the one over per side eliminator will take place at a time to be determined by the umpires. In normal circumstances it shall commence 10 minutes after the conclusion of the match.
