10 I. To promote a greater interest in the game. II. To foster and develop local amateur talent. III. To inspire punctuality in the matches, and to arrange an annual competition amongst its members. IV. To control professionalism. The League has in its possession thirteen trophies which are awarded as follows: T o the Champions and Runners-up of: Senior Division One, Senior Division Two, Junior League Division One, Junior League Division Two, Third XI League, the winners of the: Worsley Cup, Junior KO Trophy and Lancashire League T20 Competition; as well as two flags awarded to the Champions of the Senior Division One and the Junior League Division One; and photographs of the: Senior Championship, the Holland Cup (awarded to Senior Division One runners up). The Junior League Championship and the Worsley Cup. The League will present 12 mementoes to the champions/Runners up of the Senior Divisions 1 & 2 plus the winners/Runners up of the 3rd Eleven competition. The League will present memento to a batsman or bowler who, while playing as an amateur, succeeds in scoring 15000 runs or takes 1000 wickets in the Senior Divisions. A memento will also be presented to any amateur batsman who scores 1,000 runs or over, or any amateur bowler who takes 100 wickets or over, in the Senior Divisions (league matches only).
