In this two day match, played at Accrington, the gate receipts amounted to £454-3s-5d. The Final Tie at Haslingden, between Bacup and Rawtenstall, on September 16th, 18th and 23rd, 1922 will go down in history as the Final which was never played to a finish. East Lancashire, Haslingden, Nelson and Todmorden all tied for first position in 1938, Haslingden and Todmorden being the eventual Finalists. The Final Tie was played at Burnley and resulted in Todmorden becoming Champions. The scores were, Todmorden, First Innings 411 runs Haslingden responded with 169 and 171. Gate receipts were £303-4s-11d. 1986 – Nelson and Todmorden tied for first position the play-off for the title took place at Burnley C.C. ground on Sunday, 21st September. Both Clubs had to engage substitute professionals with Neal Radford playing for Nelson and Rod Estwick for Todmorden. Nelson batted first made 171 for 7 in their 46 overs and by restricting Todmorden’s reply to 158 for 8 became Champions. Gate receipts were £903 (Admission Charge £1).
