63 J W Lees Lancashire Cricket League SECOND ELEVEN RULES 1. TITLE - This League shall be called the Lancashire Cricket League Junior League and shall consist of the Second Elevens of each club in the “Lancashire Cricket League”. 2. GOVERNMENT - The Junior League shall be governed by the Committee of the said “Lancashire Cricket League” and shall be run in accordance with the Rules of that League, save as hereinafter provided. 3. NO PROFESSIONAL - No Professional shall be allowed to play in any Junior League match. 4. PLAYER’S QUALIFICATIONS - When a Senior League Club is engaged in a match on the same date as its Second Eleven is playing a Junior League match any player shall be eligible for either team. If a Junior League match is played when the Senior League team has no match a player shall not be eligible to play in the Junior League team if he has played in more than 2 games with the Senior League team in the preceding 28 days unless the permission of the League Executive has been first obtained. For the sake of clarification of this Rule a Player who is selected for the Senior League team in a game which does not commence shall not be deemed to have played. As the competition approaches its close the leading Clubs should, as a matter of honour, continue to play their usual junior players and the introduction of senior players for the purpose of winning the last matches may lead to the disqualification of the Club concerned. 5. THE GAME - In Junior League matches the game shall consist of 90 overs. Each side shall be entitled to receive a maximum of 45 overs. 5.1 Bowling bonus points in a rain affected game In a rain affected match where the bowling side will bowl fewer than 45 overs bowling points will be awarded as follows Overs bowled wickets taken points 33 – 40 4 1 5 2 6 3 7 4 8 5
