LCL Handbook 2024 33 successive season. The charges for admission for the current season will be: League matches £4.00 per person, £2.00 for Senior Citizens and Juniors (Charges include VAT). Worsley Cup matches £5.00 per person £2.50 for Senior Citizens and Juniors (Charges include VAT). Junior Cup Final ( and semi final if a charge is made ) £3.00 per person £1.00 for Senior Citizens and Juniors (Charges include VAT). At the conclusion of the first innings the home Club may, if they so wish, continue to make an admission charge in an amount equal to or below the charge decided upon by the aforesaid Annual Meeting until the conclusion of the game or at an earlier time decided upon by the home Club. SEASON 21. In any of the foregoing Rules the word “season” shall mean the period between 1st April and 30th September in any year. SECTION C ONE PROFESSIONAL /OVERSEAS AMATEUR PLAYER TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT 1. Member Clubs are reminded that it is the responsibility of each Club to ensure that any Professional/ Amateur Player fromabroadwho is engaged to play for that Club does so in compliance of the requirements of the British Government relating to that player’s right to visit this Country, to play cricket for that Club and their terms of engagement either as a paid professional or as an overseas amateur. 1.1 Subject to section C1.5e below, each Club must play one bona fide Professional or Overseas Amateur Player but not more than one, in every senior League and Cup match promoted and/or organised by the League. An Overseas Amateur Player being someone who has not been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least 12 months prior to the commencement of the season. Hereinafter any reference in these Rules to the word “Professional” shall include “Overseas Amateur Player” save where it would otherwise be inconsistent to do so. Notwithstanding any other provisions in these Rules no Club shall engage any professional who, after official enquiry shall have been judged guilty by any organisation affiliated, directly or indirectly, to the Lancashire Cricket Board and/or the League Cricket Conference of such conduct as to have justified their expulsion or suspension from the said organisation or the imposition of any other penalty other than a caution and/or warning as to their future conduct until the period of such expulsion or suspension or any obligation imposed by any other punishment has been completed or fulfilled to the satisfaction of the said organisation and the Lancashire Cricket Board and/or League Cricket Conference. 1.2. Each Club shall enter into a written agreement of service or written agreement for services with a player engaged by it as a professional
