LCL Handbook 2024 62 Rule F3.1 or commits any breach of that Rule or Rule F4, such Club must be reported to the League Secretary by the Captains and Umpires. At a subsequent meeting the League Committee will decide what penalty, if any, shall be imposed (Category 3 Rule B5(e)). 7. MISCELLANEOUS 7.1. No player shall play for more than one of their Club’s teams on the same day other than as a substitute fielder. For the purpose of this Rule a player shall be deemed to have played in a match once the first ball has been bowled notwithstanding that they may not have batted or bowled. 7.2. An incoming batter must pass the outgoing batter on the field of play. Umpires shall report any defaulting player in this respect or one who wastes time unduly on the field of play. 7.3. A fielder shall not be allowed to leave or return to the field of play without the consent of the umpires and then can return only at the end of an over or at the fall of a wicket. The field of play shall mean that part of the field within the boundary. 7.4. No player may at any stage of a match day, warm up by engaging in an activity likely to cause injury or damage to person(s) or property. Such activity to be drawn to the umpires’attention but reported by the home club, Category 1 fine (£50). 8. ADVERTISING ON CLOTHING 8.1. No advertising by word or logo shall be allowed on clothing worn on the field of play other than - the logo (if any) of the clothing manufacturer - the logo (or similar) of a club’s sponsor and only then within the size/ shape limits set by E.C.B. for first-class cricket, such logo to appear only on the breast pocket and/or sleeve and/or collar and/or centre of cricket shirt, and/or the centre below the ‘v’and/or sleeve of sweater. A small sponsor/advertising logo on the back of players’shirts / sweaters (not exceeding 20 square inches) is allowed. 9. COLLECTIONS 9.1. A collection may be taken at any time after one or more of the following performances has been achieved by any player in any one innings:- Batting - Scoring 50 runs Bowling - Hat trick (3 or more wickets with consecutive deliveries) 5 or more wickets (amateur only) 6 or more wickets (professional) Wicket Keeping - 5 or more victims Fielding - 5 or more catches 9.2. The decision whether or not to take a collection shall be in the absolute and unfettered discretion of the Committee of the Club to which the player belongs and for whose personal benefit the collection is to be taken. Such collections shall be taken by the players or responsible authorised persons connected with the Club in question and any player
