LCL Handbook 2025 24 The wicketkeeping award for most victims in the Premier league was a close-run thing with 3 keepers on 25 but the winner had 26 victims 22 catches and 4 stumpings the winner was Lee Crabtree of Norden. The League makes awards to the best performing U23 players for most runs, most wickets and best overall player and as we no longer make monthly awards, we felt it only fair that we split the awards and recognise the U23 players from each Senior Division. In Division Two, the batting under 23 award went to JJ Fielding of Ramsbottom to who scored 782 runs. Most wickets by an Under 23 player in Division Two with 39 wickets, was Ishaq Hussain also of Ramsbottom. The Premier League U23 batting award went to Qasim Shah of Burnley who made 459 runs. And for the bowling award, with 31 wickets went to Harry Snowden also of Burnley. After considering all performances it was decided that the overall Under 23 player of the year award with 782 league runs, 217 in theWorsley Cup and a further 235 in T20’s and 14 catches the Milton Lord Trophy would go to JJ Fielding of Ramsbottom. The Bill Harrison Trophy for player with the best individual performance went to a batsman who made 157 at East Lancs at East Lancs on 23rd June, JJ Fielding of Ramsbottom. The Peter Hargreaves trophy was awarded to the Umpire with the best overall marks in the Junior Leagues. The winner for 2024 was Barry Evans. In the Senior divisions Umpires awards, the Wally Ashley runners up trophy was won by Garry Holder. With regards to the Harry Saul trophy for the Umpire of the year the marks were so close it was decided that the trophy would be shared between Duncan Warburton and Ken Fergusson. The Joe Collier award goes to the team who are given the best marks by umpires for sportsmanship in both First and a Second Eleven games, in 3rd place we had last year’s winners Nelson, next were Burnley but the winners for 2024 were Enfield Cricket Club.
