Lancashire League Handbook 2025
LCL Handbook 2025 25 The Alick Ormerod Trophy goes to the captain who receives the best marks in Senior Division Cricket. In third place we had Chris Burton of Burnley, second was last year’s winner, Peter Dibb of Clitheroe and the winner this year was Ryan Miskella of Littleborough. As we move in 2025, Clubs have adopted early starts moving to 12:30 all season and all Clubs will now be expected to have 2 sight screens at each end of the ground, a sign that we continue to develop as a League. The Chairman has identified minimum standards for Umpire rooms and we will be introducing walkie talkies at every Club. These, along with the use of live streaming and scoring put the League out to the world on a weekly basis and we must strive to keep and develop standards, particularly with discipline which is seen by anyone watching. Players need to remember that they are being watched and it’s too late when you’ve done it. Hopefully the sun will shine in 2025 and another competitive and high- quality season will develop, at all levels.
