The name of the competition will be the Lancashire Cricket League (LCL), an England &Wales Cricket Board (ECB) accredited Premier League. In the event of there being any vacancy or expansion within the League such other Club(s) may be elected as shall be decided on by a vote of the League Clubs. The vote must show the support of three-fourths of the Clubs constituting the League before any such Club(s) may be admitted to the League. The League Management Committee (LMC) of the LCL agreed unanimously at the AGM 2023 to adopt and adhere to the annual accreditation criteria set by the ECB to maintain Premier League status. The Executive Committee aim to ensure that all the requirements of the ECB premier League accreditation status are met for the relevant season, including mandating all member clubs to be fully compliant with all current requirements. The LCL agrees to adopt the ECB Premier League General Conduct Regulations (GCR) for recreational cricket 2025 and any amendments and updates following. TheExecutiveCommitteealsoaimtoensurethattheECBAnti-Discrimination and Safeguarding Policies are implemented and adhered to by the league and all member clubs to provide an environment where every individual and club is treated equally and with respect. ECB Safe Hands Policy (October 2003) The Lancashire Cricket League is firmly and enthusiastically committed to ensuring that Cricket within the LCL provides a safe, friendly and enjoyable experience for children and vulnerable adults. To this end, the LCL requires that member clubs implement fully the ECB Safe Hands Policy (October 2003), and any future amendments in respect of the welfare of young people in cricket. The Child Welfare Official from each club shall be defined and recorded in the LCL handbook and identified on the Play Cricket page of the respective club. Each member club is required to appoint a Child Welfare Official to qualify for Full membership of the LCL. The LCL will follow and adopt all ECB directives in respect of Clubmark & Safe Hands.
