LCL Handbook 2025 77 6. BALL - The ball to be used in each innings shall be provided by the fielding-side. The Ball must be a Lancashire League provided ball, as per 1st XI (new or used). 7. BOWLING - In any one innings, a bowler may bowl a maximumof 12 overs. Where an innings is interrupted, and overs are lost, the number of overs permitted to be bowled by an individual bowler will reduce as the available overs for that innings reduce. A part over bowled by a bowler will be considered as a full over in respect of that particular bowler’s allocation. An individual bowler’s allocation will reduce as follows: Overs Bowled Wickets Taken Points 33-40 4 Wickets 1 point 5 Wickets 2 points 6 Wickets 3 points 7 Wickets 4 points 8 Wickets 5 points 26-32 3 Wickets 1 point 4 Wickets 2 points 5 Wickets 3 points 6 Wickets 4 points 7 Wickets 5 points 25 or less 2 Wickets 1 point 3 Wickets 2 points 4 Wickets 3 points 5 Wickets 4 points 6 Wickets 5 points 41-45 overs 12 overs per bowler 36-40 overs 10 overs per bowler 31-35 overs 9 overs per bowler 26-30 overs 8 overs per bowler 20-25 overs 7 overs per bowler 8. No uncompleted Second Eleven fixtures shall be rearranged. 9. In Second Eleven matches the wicket that is being used during the game is to be covered rather than any other part of the square. 10. Trophies and Mementos will be presented to the winners and runners up in Divisions 1 and 2 of the Junior League in accordance with Senior League Rules.
