Special Meeting, Commercial Accrington, June 13/94 present Accrington, Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Bacup, East Lancashire, Enfield, Rishton, Church, Haslingden Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall, Lowerhouse, Treasurer, Sec. This meeting was convened to consider a protest lodged by Ramsbottom C.C., against two players of Accrington C.C. viz. Messrs. Aspden & Bayley as being ineligible to play in match 12th May. The protest was considered under Rules 14 and 15. The meeting considered Mr. Aspden case first, and the protest against him was not sustained. With regard to Mr. Bayley, after hearing evidence it was Resolved that the League consider Mr. Bayley's qualification of residence is not bona fide and he is therefore ineligible and 4 points be deducted according to Rule 29. Resolved that Hulme be allowed to play for Accrington against Nelson next Sat. F. Whitaker being disabled.
