Lancashire League Minute Book 1890-1897 (with side-by-side transcriptions by Anne Cochrane)

Meeting Commercial, Accrington February 21/95 all clubs represented with the exception of East Lancashire. Mr. Hamer (Hon. Treasurer) occupied the Chair. This was an adjourned meeting to consider Rules. Resolved that each League Club pay £2.10.0 to clear existing debt. Resolved that be added to Rules "that the League Secretary shall send a copy of the League Balance Sheet judicially audited to each club at least 14 days before the annual meeting of the League. Resolved that Rule 20 read "Professionals shall be engaged for the whole of a season and a club shall not substitute etc. etc."
