Meeting of the Committee of the League held at the Commercial Hotel, Accrington on Wednesday 1st day of April 1896 Present The President in the Chair, Mr. W. Hamer, Hon. Treas., Mr. John Procter, the Hon Secy Representatives from Bacup, Rishton, Ramsbottom, Haslingden, Lowerhouse, Colne, Nelson, Church, Burnley, Accrington and Rawtenstall. The Minutes of the meeting held on the 25th day of March 1896 were read and confirmed. Resolved that if Leach (Ramsbottom) obtains his release from Tonge C.C. he be allowed to play for Ramsbottom as an amateur. Resolved that Shutt (T) of Lowerhouse be not allowed to play for Lowerhouse till he commences his professional engagement with (Thornham?) C.C. seeing that he has signed for that Club and intends to fulfil his engagement with them.
