Present The President in the Chair, the Representatives of Church, Accrington, Enfield, Rishton, East Lancashire, Haslingden, Ramsbottom, Bacup, Burnley, Lowerhouse, Colne, Rawtenstall & Nelson and the Hon. Tres. and the Hon. Secy. The minutes of the meeting held on the 6th May 1896 were read and confirmed. The motion by Burnley "to rescind Resolution restricting all League Clubs to play 1 pro in 1897 and following seasons" was considered by the Com. and leave was given Burnley to alter their motion and their Representative moved "That this League bind themselves at the General Annual Meeting in January 1897 to rescind the Rule made at the General Annual Meeting in 1896 that all League Clubs play only 1 pro in 1897 and following seasons.
