Special Meeting Commercial Hotel, Accrington, June 10th 1896 Present President & Hon. Secretary, Church, Accrington, Enfield, Rishton, East Lancashire, Ramsbottom, Bacup, Burnley, Lowerhouse, Colne, Rawtenstall and Nelson. The minutes of last meeting held on 3rd inst., were read and confirmed. The motion by Burnley that the League at the Annual General Meeting in 1897 bind themselves to rescind the Rule made at the Annual General Meeting in 1896 that all League clubs play only one professional in 1897 and following seasons in League matches was put when the following voted for Church, Accrington, Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Lowerhouse, Enfield, President & Secretary and the following against Rishton, Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall, East Lancs. Bacup & Hon. Treasurer. The motion was declared carried.
