Committee Meeting, Commercial Hotel, Accrington July 1st/96 Present The President in the Chair, & the Representatives of Church, Enfield, Rishton, East Lancs., Bacup, Accrington, Burnley, Lowerhouse, Rawtenstall, Nelson, Ramsbottom, Sec. away ill. Resolved Minutes of meeting held 3rd June and of special meeting held June 10th be confirmed. Resolved that all accounts be sent into the Hon. Sec. & he to produce same at League Meeting to be passed & signed by the President & then handed over to the Hon. Treasurer for payment. Resolved that after hearing Crossley's (Burnley 2nd) apology re abusive language etc in match v East Lancs 2nd June 20th, that same be accepted the Sec to officially notify the player to this effect. Resolved that the protest by Rawtenstall against match v Haslingden played at Rawtenstall June 27th that after hearing the evidence of both representatives & also of Umpires that the protest be dismissed & the match to stand, but in consideration of the Umpires not adhering strictly to Rule 6, as to notifying both captains to play lost time, that the fee £1.1.0 be returned.
