the Sub. Committee to arrange the price of 11 gold medals & 22 silver medals. The Secretary reported that Haslingden & Church had tied for the first place in division No. 1 of the Junior Division & Nelson & Lowerhouse for Division No. 2 in Junior Division Resolved that Haslingden & Church play off on Sept 5th and that Lowerhouse & Nelson play off on Sept 12. The Clubs in each case to toss for choice of ground. The winners of the ties to play off on Saturday the 19th Sept. at Accrington. Resolved that Messrs. Horrocks, Barlow & Nutter form the Sub-Committee to arrange fixtures for 1897. The President invited the members to his house on Saturday Oct. 3 1896 to finally fix & agree the League Fixtures.
