Committee meeting at Commercial Hotel, Accrington, Tuesday 26th May (1891) , Present Accrington, Haslingden, Rawtenstall, Church, East Lancashire, Lowerhouse, Nelson, Bacup, Ramsbottom, Rishton, Enfield and President, Treasurer and Sec Resolved that minutes of previous meeting be confirmed. A protest was next read from Haslingden CC re Umpires' decisions and playing Higson the latter not having been registered required him prior to playing in match 25th April at Colne Resolved that umpires' decisions be upheld. Resolved that objection as to Higson not registered on time be upheld by this Committee. Resolved that Colne be notified that this meeting unanimously agreed as to infringement of rules with regard to registration of Higson prior to playing against Haslingden and that meeting be held one month from Wednesday 27th May to consider any answer from Colne.
