Committee Meeting Commercial Hotel Accrington 24th May 1891 (Note error should be June) Present Mr. Hamer, Church, Rishton, Enfield, Rawtenstall, Haslingden, Ramsbottom, Nelson, Lowerhouse, Bacup, Accrington, East Lancs., Burnley, Colne and Mr. Brown, Sec. Resolved that Mr. Hamer take the chair. (Protest Haslingden v Colne 25th April) Resolved that the protest of Haslingden re Higson be left over and in meantime both clubs see if can arrange to play match over. (Nelson reported and excused 13 June) The Nelson club was reported 10 minutes late at Colne - after explanation as to train delay it was Resolved that Nelson club be excused for delay in arriving at Colne , a reasonable explanation having been given. (Protest Burnley v Lowerhouse match 20th May) Resolved that this protest be left over Burnley club to bring evidence before next meeting.
