Lancashire League Minute Book 1890-1897 (with side-by-side transcriptions by Anne Cochrane)

Proposed by Accrington Professionals playing as amateurs: That no one be allowed to play as an amateur in a League Match who has played with any club as a professional within 12 months preceding that date. Any club proved guilty of violating this rule shall pay £5 to the League and have two points deducted. Players having a local birth qualification be exempt from this rule. Proposed by Lowerhouse That all matches not played on account of the weather be not re-played but to be counted same as they are in county matches. Meeting adjourned.
