Special Committee Meeting Accrington, 12th April, 1893, all present with exception of Burnley. Resolved that Minutes of previous meeting be confirmed. The application of C. Coward and J. Lucas for appointment as League Umpires was not entertained. That Mr. Smallpage be paid £1.1.0 expenses re Beaumont inquiry. That Messrs. S. Roberts and Sec. interview the Little Lever Club as to whether A. Smith received money for services in 1892 from their club and the evidence rest on Little Lever. That Sub-Committee consisting Accrington, Nelson, Bacup, Colne, and Rawtenstall meet on Friday evening and they have power to suspend Smith if report from Messrs. Roberts and Sec. unsatisfactory. That any amateur of a League club selected to play for his County and receiving Professional's fee from County Com. do not injure his qualification as an amateur in the League.
