(A. Smith and East Lancashire, protest from latter club on Rule 14) Resolved that on the evidence presented the Com. decide that A. Smith has no qualification to play for Rishton either on Residence or of a bona fide office or business. Voting unanimous Mr. Roberts, Bury gave notice for next meeting That the matter of penalty to be imposed on any club for playing an unqualified man be considered. Mr. Waddington, Haslingden gave notice for next meeting "That when an Umpire or Umpires do not arrive before 2 o'clock, the time so lost shall be made up in case it does not exceed 30 minutes." The Burnley Club asked permission to play Pate after this player had been offered and accepted engagement with Barnoldswick Club. Pate attended to answer any inquiries. Resolved that Pate be allowed to play pending next meeting.
