AWARDING OF DIVISION TITLES/PROMOTION AND RELEGATION The leading two clubs shall in the normal course of events be promoted to the next division above and the bo8om two clubs be relegated to the next division below. In the event of clubs tying, the score book will decide on the basis of runs for, divided by runs against. 29. PROTESTS All protests shall be no7fied in wri7ng to the League Secretary within three days of the match concerned and be accompanied by a fee which shall be forfeit if the Management Commi8ee considers the protest frivolous. If considered reasonable, the fee shall be refunded. The repor7ng club must send a copy of the objec7on to the other Club concerned. 30. TROPHIES/INSURANCE The top club in each division shall be presented with a trophy. These trophies cannot be won outright and must be insured by the Management Commi8ee for a minimum sum agreed by the League Brokers. All trophies must be returned to the League Secretary by 15th July each year. Failure to comply will result in a fine. 31. ANNUAL SOCIAL FUNCTION The Annual Social Func7on shall be held on the same night as the Annual General Mee7ng whenever possible and each Club must purchase two 7ckets. Extra 7ckets are available from the League Secretary, but if not used must be returned at least 7 days prior to the func7on and if not so returned, must be paid for in full. 32. ALTERATIONS TO RULES No altera7on shall be made to these rules except at an Annual General Mee7ng or a Special General Mee7ng a'er fourteen days no7ce of such proposed altera7on shall have been given to the Honorary Secretary’s of all member clubs. 33. OTHER MATTERS Any ma8ers not specifically covered by these rules shall be dealt with by the Management Commi8ee at their discre7on. The Management Commi8ee may also impose addi7onal fines and penal7es to those stated under the rules if it deems appropriate; such ac7on must be made public on the league website.
