Alliance Midweek Cricket League Handbook 2015
28 Attention is drawn to all clubs and umpires about the information on this page. Please be aware of your commitments. TEAM SHEETS A team sheet must be handed to neutral umpires before the game commences. The umpires are reminded that this is for their own insurance purposes and the game should not commence until received. Any junior player must be marked accordingly and any player under the age of 13 can only play if a parents’ letter is received stated that the child can play in that game. A player under the age of 11 must also have written league permission to play. SCORERS Scoring is one of the most important, yet undervalued, elements in a game of cricket. Scoring of the game should be detailed and accurate. Each club is required to provide a scorer for each game and these should sit in close proximity to each other. In the Premier Division, it is compulsory to provide a scorer and if a club fails to do so then they must field with a player short and this player should (and must be able to) score. Umpires are requested to strictly uphold this rule. All home clubs are required to provide a scoreboard that must be regularly updated. RESULTS SUBMISSION All results are submitted to the league using the Play-Cricket system. You can see all the league results, tables and stats at the league play-cricket website and the link is available on the league website - www.alliancemidweek.org.uk. The home team must submit their result by 8 pm on Sunday following a game and the away teammust confirm the detail by 8 pm on Tuesday. All players who play in a game MUST be registered. This should be done ideally before the game but if this is not possible, then by no later than 12 noon on the day after a game. The home club must TEXT the result and outline detail to the Publicity Officer by 11.00 pm on the day following a game. If you have any problems whatsoever with results submission, please contact the Publicity Officer.
