35 It is quite unusual for two brothers to head individual Union results in a season. They were as pleased as the whole Club to see the Laing-Ovenstone Trophies for batting go to Peter and for bowling go to Gordon in 1997. Laings and Moirs are the other brothers coming to mind. The Drummond household is headed by Jenny and it is completed by brother Ross and sister Annette who has been coached and has played at Meigle.
