18 RULES OF THE LEAGUE CUP 3-D Shield Section 1 (North) - Mannofield, Montrose, Stoneywood-Dyce, Strathmore. 3-D Shield Section 2 (South) - Cupar XI, Forthill, Perth, St Modans. (1) Matches will be 45 overs per side. (2) Bowlers are permitted a maximum of 10 overs. (3) Matches start at lpm. (4) Points will be awarded as follows - win (4pts), loss (1pt), no result (2pts), tie (3pts). (5) A tie in a match will result if the scores are level - the number of wickets taken is irrelevant. (6) In inclement weather and/or a delayed start, the captains will decide on the length of the match with the bowlers’ maximum reduced pro rata. The minimum length of game will be 20 overs per side. (7) Match returns are to be submitted as per league games. (8) If teams in a section are tied after the sectional matches, then the winner of the section will be decided by dividing the total number of runs scored by the total number of balls bowled. Runs and balls bowled in a no-result match will not be used to determine a Section tie.
