5 Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union (Instituted 1929) 1.1 The Union shall be called “The Dukes Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union”, an amalgamation in 2003 of the Strathmore Cricket Union, Instituted 1929, and thePerthshireCricket League, Instituted 1964. 1.2 The Union shall consist of two or more Divisions as approved by a General Meeting of the Union. The minimum number of teams in the top Division shall be eight and the maximum number of teams in the top Division shall be twelve. No two teams from the same club shall compete in the same Division with the exception of the lowest Division. 1.3 The Committee shall be vested with full powers to vary the titles of each Division at the commencement of each season. 2.1 All affairs and management of the Union shall be in the hands of a Management Committee, the members of which shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Committee shall comprise a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer (the latter two offices may be co-joined) and five other members, all being from clubs in full membership of the Union. The retiring President shall continueas anex-officiomember of theCommittee for one year after his term of office expires. The Committee shall have, in addition to their general powers, the power to fill any vacancy in their numbers during the year and, additionally, the power to co-opt up to two additional members to assist with specific projects. 2.2 The Committee shall be vested with full powers to conduct all competitions under the auspices of the Union and to regulate the choosing of teams for all representative matches played by the Union. The members of the Committee shall be entitled to vote at all General Meetings. 3.1 Any club desirous of entering a team to the Union must make application in writing to the Secretary on or before 1st October.
